Paper Airplane Launcher Saves Billions

Sunday, December 7th, 2008

Now that you can order Pizza from your TiVo without even getting up, you might not have the strength to throw a paper airplane. Not to worry, the folks at Urban Outfitters have come to the rescue with a solution that costs billions less than NASA’s launch systems, $18 to be specific.

According to Urban Outfitters it was invented at Middlesex University and can fling folded paper up to 30 mph. While this may not be safe for younger children, or certain co-workers, it can be quite educational if properly supervised.

End Thanksgiving Oil Dependance

Friday, November 21st, 2008

Every year my cousin cooks a turkey for Thanksgiving in his deep fryer, and it always comes out great. I’ve always wanted to try that, but the possibility of an explosion is there if there is just a drop of water on the turkey. That is just too much for me to risk in a suburban environment. My cousin is lucky enough to live on a ranch just out side of San Diego. Frontgate to the rescue, you know them, they are the mail order company that has $1000 lawn chairs.

Their Oil-less Turkey Fryer solves all of those concerns by cooking with propane while blasting the turkey with infrared to make a crispy turkey. It can hold up to a 16-pound bird. The cooking times is 8 to 10 minutes per pound. Available now for $199 [from Frontgate]
