Cloudy Day

Monday, July 14th, 2014

CloudLampThe Cloud is an interactive lamp and speaker system, designed to mimic a thundercloud in both appearance and entertainment. Using motion sensors the cloud detects a your presence and creates a unique lightning and thunder show dictated by your movement. The system features a powerful speaker system from which the user can stream music via any Bluetooth compatible device. Using color-changing lights the cloud is able to adapt to the desired lighting color and brightness. The cloud also has alternative modes such as a nightlight and music reactive mode. See the animation below for an up close look at The Cloud.

Best MacBook Pro stand

Sunday, March 8th, 2009

luxa2Too many of today’s portable stands are designed like PCs, i.e plastic and ugly. You have a MacBook Pro and want something to equal it’s style, while still being functional. Look no further, I have found the best of both worlds.

LUXA2′s new M1-Pro Laptop Cooler is designed for us MacBook Pro owners. Combining the design esthetics of Apple into an ergonomic and functional laptop cooler. It doesn’t just raise your MacBook Pro to an optimal viewing angle, it cools it with a dual heat-pipe integrated right in the M1-Pro. This enhances heat dissipation by providing a direct heat conduction path between MacBook Pro bottom casing and M1-Pro’s aluminum surface. No noisy fans to contend with because of the M1-Pro’s silent thermal solution.

By the way, in keeping with Apple’s greener initiative, LUXA2′s packaging “is designed smaller to reach the goal of Going Green.” Currently all LUXA2 products are made from green materials and all RoHS compliant.

biOrb Fish Tanks

Sunday, March 1st, 2009

biOrbThe original biOrb was created bank in 1999. The large crystal clear acrylic globe with the replaceable filter cartridges made it unique and easy to maintain, while keeping it very stylish. Over the years, biOrb’s creator, Reef One, has continued to develop many new and innovative products such as their Intelligent LED light, which mirrors a natural day cycle including a sunrise and sunset. While this light does add to the esthetic of the biOrb, it also provides a better more natural environment for the fish.

The current biOrb collention ranges in size from 15 litres (4 gallons) to 60 litres (16 gallons). They also have a collection called biUbe, which is a cylinder. These are very interesting designs and there is no shortage of accessories to personalize your tank with. From “Swap Tops” which come in a range of colors, to various plant life and Samuel Baker Aquarium Sculptures.

Attack of the Killer Plants

Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008

Almost all green plants grow towards the sunlight, but what if where you have the plant doesn’t allow enough sunlight? The Playcoalition believes they have the answer with a planter that has a set of robotic legs that help the plant walk around and find the light as it moves around the room. As of this post the device is only a concept, but I am sure that the Audry III will see the light of day.
